COP30: Companies prepare for the big event

Brazil at the center of the climate debate: COP30 drives ESG, sustainable innovation and new opportunities.

This year, the event that will put Brazil at the center of global discussions on climate change will take place. COP30, the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference, will bring together leaders from around the world to discuss topics such as the preservation of the Amazon, the role of tropical forests in combating climate change, energy transition, climate justice and the adaptation of developing countries to environmental impacts.

The conference provides a space for collective action to urgently address extreme climate issues, which have accelerated over the past two years, and to make structural decisions regarding sustainable practices by individuals, organizations and regions. In this context, working groups are being formed to influence the climate policies that will be discussed at the event.

For companies participating in the debates, it will be an opportunity to directly influence the search for solutions on the topics discussed, anticipate trends and scenarios, and find adjustments in initiatives that bring economic value to organizations and society.

Edson Ferreira, director of Ferso, highlights COP30 as an opportunity for Brazilian companies to showcase their progress in sustainability and establish their prominent place in a green economy. “Adopting management practices aligned with ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) criteria and investing in sustainable innovation are some of the strategies being used to ensure an important position during the event, which can generate good opportunities,” he explains.

For many companies, preparing for COP30 also means seizing opportunities to lead initiatives related to the protection of the Amazon and sustainable development. With Brazil in the spotlight, the event is a chance to attract investment and establish strategic partnerships that promote conservation and the balance between economic growth and environmental protection.

Ferso will be participating in the event and can help companies position themselves for the big moment. Talk to us!
