In October, Brasília will host an important preparatory event for the 30th United Nations Climate Change Conference — the Pre-COP. On October 13 and 14, climate negotiating ministers, representatives of international organizations and delegations from several countries will meet in the Brazilian capital to align positions, strengthen diplomatic dialogues and facilitate agreements on key issues in the climate negotiations.. 

This meeting, which precedes the COP30 scheduled for November in Belém, aims to objective to identify convergent points and smooth out differences in solutions and proposals, which will be taken to the main event. It will be an open and collaborative discussion, seeking to reduce tensions and ensure international engagement. 

The Pre-COP in Brasília is part of a series of strategic actions aimed at building an inclusive conference, focusing on forest preservation, climate finance and environmental justice. It is an important moment to strengthen international cooperation and advance sustainable solutions. For Brazil, it will be an opportunity to present its commitments and reinforce its role in the global fight against climate change.
